The Board of Trustees at ISU has the final authority to ratify the contract on the management side of the contract, just as the members do for our negotiating side.

Some of our biggest successes in bargaining have come from member’s direct participation. For example, a faculty member’s comments in front of a room packed with members got us our Memorandum of Understanding on locks.

We always need speakers to talk about the issues that matter most. But we also need members to wear green shirts. It’s our space for public communication and reaches people who are not as involved in the day-to-day management of the university but wield an incredible amount of power.
